The Supreme Court has waded into a decade-long feud between Texas and Oklahoma over whether the Lone Star State has a right to water in southeastern Oklahoma under the Red River Compact. The case is important to the states involved but also could have broad implications for the 30 major interstate compacts that govern water use around the country.
